Wow. so many of you have completely either glossed over the time stamp or just missed the point entirely. This article was written the better part of a decade ago and it still gives me shivers. When I read these words I remember it as a time in mountain biking where the soul of our sport was becoming more elusive. I think the romanticism and eager words are a reflection of experiencing a truly remarkable place in the world and a discovery of something new on ancient trails.
